Two Barges Break Free, Slam Into Dam

Flooding along the Arkansas River has caused two barges to break free and slam into a dam along the river.

As a result residents of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, have been ordered to evacuate.

The barges struck Dam 16 and then sank.

The barges were carrying 3,800 tons of fertilizer.

Flooding continues to be a threat in the area.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said there is no danger of the dam failing and only reported minimal damage.
