Two Fatalities Following El Reno Tornado


El Reno tornado damage. May 26, 2019.

There were at least two fatalities after a destructive tornado in El Reno, Oklahoma, on Saturday night.


29 people were transported to the hospital for minor to critical injuries. Several other people were displaced.


The National Weather Service rated the tornado an EF3, meaning winds were between 218 to 266 km/h.


The tornado was only on the ground for 4 minutes and tore a path of 3.5 kilometers.


Significant damage was sustained to a hotel and a mobile home park.
