Two Tornadoes Confirmed in SW Ontario #ONstorm
Environment and Climate Change Canada has confirmed two tornadoes in Southwestern Ontario on Wednesday.
Several severe thunderstorms ripped through Southwestern Ontario on Wednesday and at least spawned two tornadoes.
The tornadoes were reported in Glencoe and Belmont. Glencoe is about 50 kilometres south of London and Belmont is about 20 kilometres southeast of London.
As the storms moved through there were several reports of power outages and downed trees that in some cases blocked roads. There are still thousands of people without power.
There were also several reports of hail and strong winds. Some property damage was also reported.
No injuries have been reported.
The weather is much more tranquil today and thunderstorms are not expected.
