Typhoon Kajiki hits Vietnam, killing one person

Typhoon Kajiki has hit Vietnam, killing one person and injuring another eight.


Over 700 homes have been damaged, and thousands of trees have been uprooted. In Hà Tĩnh province, 17,060 ha of crops were affected.


Ahead of the storm, there were mass evacuations, and flights were cancelled. The military was called in to assist.


Winds gusted between 115 and 135 km/h.


The storm has also impacted China and Thailand.
