US Thanksgiving Forecast

For Thanksgiving, mostly fair weather is expected across the United States.

There is one area of concern and that's a low that will impact the Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley. This low will bring heavy rainfall, snow and thunderstorms.

Some rain is also expected for portions of the Northwest. This will lead to improved air quality.

Snow is expected over the Northern and Central Rockies and Northern and Central Plains.

On Thanksgiving, there is a risk of thunderstorms across the Middle and Upper Texas Coast area into southwest Louisiana. Some storms could be severe. The main threats with these storms will be strong winds and tornadoes.

The tropical Atlantic remains quiet.
