Canadians heading into the Victoria Day long weekend will see a mixed bag of weather from coast to coast, with everything from spring warmth and sunshine to rain, gusty winds and cooler temperatures.
Saturday
Atlantic Canada: It will be cool across Newfoundland and unsettled. Some showers are expected across New Brunswick, and sun and cloud is expected for Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.
Quebec: Expect a mix of sun and cloud with highs ranging from the mid-teens to low twenties.
Ontario: There is a chance of showers for most areas of the province, with thunderstorms possible in southwestern Ontario.
Prairies: Across Alberta, showers are expected to start the weekend. Saskatchewan and Manitoba will see fair skies.
British Columbia: There is a chance of showers for most areas with temperatures near 10.
Northern Canada: Clear skies and seasonal temperatures are expected for most of the region.
Sunday
Atlantic Canada: It will be cool across Newfoundland and unsettled. There is a chance of showers across most of the Maritimes.
Quebec: Expect a mix of sun and cloud with highs in mid-teens.
Ontario: Most areas will see a mix of sun and cloud.
Prairies: Nice weather dominates in Alberta, while some rain or snow is expected in Saskatchewan, and showers in Manitoba.
British Columbia: Temperatures warm up to the mid-teens, and stable weather moves in; there could be an isolated shower in the interior.
Northern Canada: Clear skies and seasonal temperatures are expected for most of the region.
Monday
Atlantic Canada: It will be cool across Newfoundland and unsettled. The Maritimes will warm up, and clear skies will prevail.
Quebec: Expect a mix of sun and cloud with highs near 20.
Ontario: Southern Ontario will see a heat event taking shape with highs near 30 degrees possible in some areas. Showers are expected in northwestern areas of the province.
Prairies: Nice weather continues in Alberta, while some rain or snow is expected in Saskatchewan, and showers in Manitoba.
British Columbia: A similar set-up to Sunday with warm temperatures in the mid-teens and stable weather with an isolated shower possible in the interior.
Northern Canada: Clear skies and seasonal temperatures are expected for most of the region with the Exception of Iqaluit where clouds will move in.
