VIDEOS Possible Meteor Over Edmonton

Social media was flooded with reports of a possible meteor in the sky over Edmonton on Saturday night.

In the evening hours, a bright ball streaked across the sky, lighting up the sky as it went.

There has been no official word yet on whether or not it was a meteor.

Every year, the Earth is hit by about 6100 meteors large enough to reach the ground, or about 17 every day.
