Watching Invest 94 in the Atlantic

There are currently no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean, but that could change soon.

Invest 94 located over the central tropical Atlantic, about midway between the Windward Islands and the Cabo Verde Islands, is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

Conditions in the area are expected to remain conducive for gradual development, and a tropical depression will likely form during the next few days.

The system is moving westward to west-northwestward. Those in the Lesser Antilles should monitor the progress of this system.

There is the possibility that this system could become a hurricane. In about four days the low will take a more northward track.
