Wet Wednesday in BC

It was a wet Wednesday as a low pressure system brought heavy rain to northeastern British Columbia.


The rain continue on Thursday. Many areas received over 50 mm of rain.


Here are the rainfall totals:

  • Fort Nelson 62.4 mm

  • Paddy 60.8 mm

  • Pink Mountain 44.8 mm

  • Sierra 51.0 mm

  • Silver 51.0 mm

  • Helmut 40.2 mm

This latest bout of rain has brought the current monthly total above normal values with approximately 106 mm fallen so far in July (135% of normal). The normal precipitation amount for the month of July for Fort Nelson is 78.37 mm.
