Ontario is getting a mix of hot and wet weather. The remnants of Tropical Storm Cristobal will merge with a Colorado Low making for some very unsettled weather.
In southern and central Ontario, oppressive heat is expected today. Highs of 30 to 33 degrees are expected. Overnight lows will only get down to about 20 degrees.
In northern Ontario, the rain began on Tuesday evening and will continue through this evening. 30 to 50 millimetres of rain is possible.
Widespread thunderstorms are also expected today across most of the province. The thunderstorm risk lingers through Thursday morning for eastern Ontario.
Southern Ontario will also see some strong winds with gusts to 90 possible along the shores of the Great Lakes. These wind gusts may cause power outages.
