Wildfire forces evacuations in portions of Alberta

A wildfire is burning in the Grande Prairie, Alberta area. It is burning east toward Highway 40, south of Grande Prairie.
Everyone south of Township Road 710 to 27 Avenue and East of Range Road 64 to Highway 40 in the County of Grande Prairie must evacuate immediately.
This alert is in effect for everyone south of Township Road 710 to 27 Avenue, and East of Range Road 64 to Highway 40 in the County of Grande Prairie.
There is a second wildfire in Sturgeon County. The wildfire near the Redwater Recreation Area. The evacuation area has now been expanded south of Township 580 to the North Saskatchewan River and east of RR212 to the North Saskatchewan River. Be prepared to evacuate if the situation worsens.
