Winter Outlook


As we prepare to head into the winter season, we are pleased to release our winter forecast.


Temperatures

It looks like the eastern half of Canada will experience above-normal temperatures this winter as will much of the southern Prairies, the Interior of British Columbia, and most of Nunavut.


Temperatures will be below seasonal in Yukon, portions of the Northwest Territories, northern British Columbia and northern Alberta. Elsewhere temperatures will be near seasonal.

  • Charlottetown Above normal

Quebec and Ontario

  • Ottawa Above normal

  • Toronto Above normal

  • Thunder Bay Above normal

Prairies

  • Winnipeg Above normal

  • Saskatoon Near normal

  • Calgary Near normal

British Columbia & Northern Canada

Precipitation

Most areas will see above seasonal precipitation. Precipitation will be near normal in Manitoba and much of Northern Canada.
