Winter Storm Expected Across BC & Yukon

A ridge of high pressure over British Columbia is breaking down to allow for an area of low pressure to move into British Columbia and Yukon from the Pacific Ocean.


Significant amounts of snow is expected across central BC to the southern Yukon.


Snow will begin this morning from Teslin to Dease Lake and reach Watson Lake to Prince George by early this evening.


Snow will ease for most areas on Monday afternoon.


For areas in British Columbia under a winter storm warning, 15 to 25 cm are expected today and through Monday.


15 centimetres are expected for most areas on Yukon, there are also blizzard warnings in effect with strong wind gusts up to 100 km/h expected.
