Yellowknife lifts fire ban
There are more signs that life is starting to get back to normal in the Northwest Territories.
The City of Yellowknife has lifted the mandatory ban on open-air fires. The City's Fire Division will continue to monitor conditions and notify the public of any status changes should they occur.
The Territorial State of Emergency has shifted to the South Slave.
As of September 20, the evacuation alert was lifted for Yellowknife, Detah, Ndilo, and residents of the Ingraham Trail, as well as those living along Highway 3.
The government is using a phased approach for reentry.
