12 Dead After Plane Crashes in Kazakhstan
12 people have been killed and several others are injured following a plane crash in Kazakhstan.
The Bek Air jet was carrying 98 people. The Fokker 100 aircraft hit a building and a concrete wall shortly after takeoff.
Fifty-four were sent to the hospital.
The plane had apparently struggled to gain altitude.
At the time sky conditions were fair, however, the temperature was below freezing and some passengers reported ice on the wings.
The flight was headed to Nur-Sultan and had departed Almaty International Airport.
