45 Dead After Flooding in Niger

At least 45 people are dead and 226,000 have been displaced due to flooding in Niger.

The western part of the country has been hit the hardest by heavy rain that caused the Niger River to overflow its banks.

Several homes collapsed and rice fields have been flooded.

Schools and mosques have also been flooded.

Prime Minister Brigi Rafini said, with climate change "we are never safe from floods."
