6.8 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Alaska


There was a 6.8 magnitude earthquake 71 km east-southeast of Nikolski, Alaska at 1:35 am this morning.


The earthquake was at a depth of 22 km.


The National Tsunami Warning Center said there was no tsunami danger for the U.S. West Coast, British Columbia, or Alaska.
