April Astronomy Highlights


There are a few sights to see in the night sky this month.


For the first few days of the month, Mars will be on right with Saturn in the middle and Venus to the left in the eastern sky.


On April 4th and 5th, Mars and Saturn will appear close to each other.


On the 27th the Moon, Venus, and Jupiter will form a triangle.


There is a partial solar eclipse on April 30, but it will only be visible in South America and Antarctica.

  • Full Moon April 16

  • Last Quarter April 23

  • New Moon April 30
