As one storm moves out of Eastern Canada, another one moves in

Ontario
Another low will move across Southern Ontario on Saturday and will deliver a general 5 to 10 cm. There is a risk of freezing rain over southern areas.
Quebec
The St. Lawrence and Gaspé regions will see snow continue today, with minimal accumulations. Westerly winds of 70 to 90 km/h are forecast through Saturday, reducing visibility in blowing snow.
The snow will continue until this afternoon, giving total accumulations of 15 to 20 centimetres since yesterday on the Lower North Shore.
A new low-pressure system will head towards the province of Quebec this weekend and intensify. At times heavy snow will begin to fall on Sunday morning in southern Quebec and will affect other regions from late Sunday onwards. In some areas, this new snow will add to the snowfall received this week. Up to 15 to 30 cm could fall.
Maritimes
Northern Cape Breton will see 35 to 45 cm of snow from until Saturday. Winds across Cape Breton will gust up to 90 km/h.
Strong winds are continuing across Kings County.
Winds across western Prince Edward Island, Acadian Peninsula and Bathurst and Chaleur regions will gust between 60 and 80 km/h.
Newfoundland and Labrador
Precipitation has changed to ice pellets across the Avalon after snow overnight and early this morning. Blowing snow and strong winds will persist. From this morning until Saturday evening winds will gust between 90 and 110 km/h.
Snow will continue until early this afternoon across central Newfoundland. Once the snow ends, flurries and strong winds are expected to redevelop.
On the west coast of the Island, snow will eventually transition to snow squalls and snow squalls will continue for most of the weekend. For the West Coast, South Coast, Central, and Northeastern Newfoundland from White Bay to Fogo Island, snowfall amounts will range from 15 to 45 cm. Winds will gust between 70 and 100 km/h except 140 to 170 km/h in the Wreckhouse area and parts of the west coast, which are prone to downslope southeasterly enhancement.
Coastal areas of Labrador are also getting snow with Nain to Postville - Makkovik seeing 30 to 50 cm, 25 to 45 cm is forecasted for Rigolet to Lodge Bay, and 10 to 20 cm from Upper Lake Melville and Eagle River. Winds will also be strong.
