Astronauts permitted to return to ISS after air leak

Earlier today, NASA ordered astronauts to shelter in a capsule as a safety precaution as astronauts worked to repair an air leak in the International Space Station.
Crews have since been permitted to resume operations.
Two leaks were detected on board.
The Zvezda module tunnel on the ISS has had cracks and air leaks for years, according to NASA's communications person Bethany Stevens.
Crews are working on a more permanent fix.
The station was designed between 1984 and 1993. Elements of the station were under construction throughout the US, Canada, Japan, and Europe beginning in the late 1980s. It has spent 25 years in orbit.
