A major geomagnetic storm watch is in effect due to a moderate solar flare, which is associated with a significant ejection of the Sun's material on Friday.
The ejected material is impacting Earth and is expected to continue through Monday evening, resulting in disturbed geomagnetic conditions.
Currently, there is a major storm in the Polar region and active space weather in the Auroral and Sub-auroral zones.
Over the next 24 hours, conditions will be more unstable with the Polar region seeing major storm intervals and stormy periods for the Auroral and Sub-auroral region. This means all of Canada could see auroras over the next 24 hours.
Auroras are possible as far south as the Gulf of Mexico.
