BC Wildfire Prompts Evacuation
A number of homes in the South Okanagan region of British Columbia have been evacuated due to a wildfire.
BC Wildfire Service has recommended an evacuation alert to the Regional District of the Okanagan-Similkameen for electoral area C and to the Osoyoos Indian Band.
On Sunday, the wildfire was discovered near Eagle Bluff, about 8 kilometers northwest of Coquitlam, British Columbia.
The fire is located approximately 10 km southeast of Okanagan Falls and was 225.0 hectares in size as of Monday evening.
100 personnel have been assigned to the fire along with eight helicopters as well as air tankers.
