Cargo Ship Loses Containers Near Australia

A Singapore-registered cargo vessel lost several shipping containers off the east coast of Australia in poor weather conditions.

Australian officials have charged the shipmaster with damage to the marine environment and pollution.

It is believed that about fifty containers were lost from the ship, so far only 15 have been recovered.

The ship was en route to Melbourne from China when it encountered rough seas.

The company that owns the ship, ANL, is the shipping company that transports products from almost any place in Oceania to several other locations.

ANL offers shipping services to all major Oceania destinations, with extensive coverage throughout Asia, the West Coast of America, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Indian Subcontinent and the Pacific Islands.
