Colorado Low to bring snow and freezing rain to NW Ontario

The same winter storm impacting the Prairie provinces will move into northwestern Ontario on Sunday.

On Sunday afternoon, snow is expected across parts of far northern Ontario. Amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected. This, combined with strong wind gusts of up to 70 km/h, will result in blowing snow and significantly reduced visibility over some locations.

Portions of northwestern Ontario and north of Lake Superior will also see snow and freezing rain. Precipitation will move in overnight Saturday into Sunday. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected, and 1 to 3 mm of ice accretion is possible.
