Death toll in Buffalo rises as storm cleanup continues

On Tuesday Southwest Airlines cancelled nearly 3,000 flights as the United States grapples with cold temperatures and a strong storm that moved through last week.


Buffalo in New York state was one area that was hit the hardest with 50.3 inches of snow recorded.


At least 28 people died as a result of the storm in Buffalo. 24 others have died across 10 states.


The US National Guard has been deployed to New York.
