A magnitude 6.2 earthquake has hit Java, Indonesia. It was centred 115.5 km north-northeast of Bangkalan, Indonesia at a depth of 592 km.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries.

The earthquake was felt by locals are officials are warning the public to be aware of aftershocks.
