Earthquake occurs in the Macquarie Island region

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake has occurred in the Macquarie Island region.
The earthquake happened 1430.6 km southwest of Bluff, New Zealand, at a depth of 10 kilometres at 3:15 a.m. local time.
There were no reports of any injuries or damage.
The NWS National Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer, Alaska, said there was no tsunami threat from the earthquake.
