Earthquake recorded in Ethiopia

On Friday evening a 6.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded 6.5 kilometres north-northeast of Metahāra, Ethiopia.

The earthquake occurred at 11:28 p.m. local time and was at a depth of 10 kilometres.

Metahāra has a population of 23,403 people.

There were no immediate reports of damages or injuries from the earthquake.
