Earthquake recorded southwest of Africa

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded southwest of Africa on Friday morning.
The earthquake, which occurred at 7:36 a.m., was centred 2245 km south-southwest of Hermanus, South Africa and was at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The earthquake happened along the African and Antarctic tectonic plates.
It was not felt in any populated areas, and no damage would have occurred.
