Eastern China Bracing for Heavy Rain
Eastern China is bracing for a deluge of rain this week. Central and eastern regions are set to receive up to 50 mm per hour this week.
Last week the storms had impacted nearly 14 million people in 26 provinces.
Officials said that 744,000 people were evacuated.
78 people are dead and missing. Damage has totalled 27.8 billion yuan (CAD 5.3 billion).
Places such as Guangxi and Sichuan have seen the worst flooding in eighty years.
