Extreme heat expected across Ontario

A heat event is expected across Ontario beginning on Sunday. The heat will linger until at least the middle of next week.

Across most of the province, highs in the high twenties to low thirties, with humidex values into the mid to high thirties are expected on Sunday. There will be little relief in the overnight hours with lows in the high teens to low twenties.

Portions of northern and southern Ontario will see overnight lows in the mid-teens and could be just below heat alert criteria.

There is a risk of heat-related illnesses.
