First Tornado of the Season in Quebec


Environment and Climate Change Canada has confirmed a tornado has touched down in the Lake Brochet in the Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc area in Lac-Saint-Jean on Wednesday afternoon.


This is the first tornado of the season in Quebec.


This tornado has been rated as an EF-0 with winds between 90 and 130 km/h.


It was short-lived and caused little damage. A pontoon was lifted up and turned over and tree trunks were uprooted and snapped.
