Flash flooding struck western Kenya on Sunday after heavy rain lashed the area.

Several people are feared dead and many more are missing, including several police officers.

There have been reports of landslides.

The rain destroyed several homes and trees were also uprooted. Several roads were also damaged.

Rivers also swelled in size.

April and June are typically the months with the most rain in this area.
