Flood Falls Trail fire forces evacuations in British Columbia
The Flood Falls Trail fire in British Columbia is 520.0 hectares in size and out of control.
The Fraser Valley Regional District and District of Hope have issued Evacuation Orders for 12 properties in the Laidlaw and Hunter Creek areas.
There are currently 64 firefighters, eight helicopters, and two pieces of heavy equipment battling the fire.
Special air quality statements are in effect for portions of British Columbia and Alberta due to wildfire smoke drifting into the area.
This fire is suspected to be human-caused.
Several large fires are burning across the province including the Heather Lake Fire, Fry Creek Fire, Battleship Mountain Fire, and the Bearhole Lake Fire.
