Flooding in parts of NL after days of heavy rain #nlwx

After days of heavy rain, there are reports of flooding in Newfoundland.

Route 391 Harry's Harbour Road from King's Point to Harry's Harbour is closed after the road has broken up and washed out.

There are barricades in place and motorists can expect delays of up to 12 hours.

A nearby brook has spilled its banks.

On parts of the Avalon, some residents have reported water in basements and localized areas of flooding. The ground is saturated and therefore cannot hold any more rain.

Most of Newfoundland has seen rain and fog for over a week now with some areas seeing over 100 mm of rain.
