Heavy Rain Expected in Northeastern Ontario & Southwestern Quebec
Heavy rain is expected to fall in northeastern Ontario and southwestern Quebec.
The rain will begin today in Ontario and linger through Thursday. Rain will persist in Quebec until Friday.
Total amounts of 30 to 50 mm of rain are expected.
Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued rainfall warnings for:
Chapleau - Gogama
Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
Greater Sudbury and vicinity
Kirkland Lake - Temiskaming Shores - Temagami
Manitoulin - Blind River - Killarney
North Bay - West Nipissing
Sault Ste. Marie - Superior East
Abitibi
La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve
Témiscamingue
Some localized flooding is possible. The ground is already saturated.
If you have to travel be mindful that there may be standing water on the roads and visibility may be reduced.
