Heavy Rain Expected in the Prairies to Start the Week
A slow moving low pressure system sweeping through the prairies will bring with it heavy amounts of rain to most areas of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Most areas will see anywhere between 15 and 45 mm. However, it is possible to see 50+ mm in the southern and central areas of the Alberta/Saskatchewan border.
The heaviest amounts of rain will end late Tuesday, but continue into northwestern Ontario early Wednesday morning.
As well as the heavy rainfall, winds in the prairie provinces could gust up to 110 km/h, and we could see severe storms develop on Sunday and Monday in southern Saskatchewan, as well as in southern and central Manitoba.
