Heavy Snow and Rain to Lash Most of Atlantic Canada

An area of low pressure currently over southern Quebec will bring unsettled weather to Atlantic Canada Today, Friday and on Saturday.

Rain will move into eastern New Brunswick this evening, in western and northern sections precipitation will likely be snow.

On Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, the rain will be the dominant form of precipitation and will begin late this evening. As temperatures cool late on Friday and Saturday, some rain will transition to snow.

Overnight and into Friday, Newfoundland will see mostly rain for central sections and snow for the west coast. Rain arrives on the Avalon late in the day on Friday.

As the low moves off the northern coast of Newfoundland, it will spread some snow to coastal Labrador on Saturday morning. At the same time, some wrap-around snow is possible for the west coast of Newfoundland.
