Hurricane Delta Hits Yucatan Peninsula

Hurricane Delta hit the Yucatan peninsula on Wednesday cutting power to 266,000 customers and brought down trees.


Upon landfall, Delta had winds of 175 km/h.


There were no deaths or injuries however, hundreds of tourists had to seek cover in storm shelters.


Delta weakened to a category one hurricane after landfall but is expected to restrengthen.


The storm is moving quite fast and the National Hurricane Center says that Delta could hit Louisiana tomorrow.
