Idaho and Montana Digs Out From Heavy Snowfall... in June

While most parts of North America are easing into summer, it was quite the opposite over some higher elevations of Idaho and Montana.

Tuesday into Wednesday parts of the states recorded 6 to 10 inches of snow, that's 15 to 25 centimetres.

The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office in Idaho received multiple calls about several vehicles stuck in the snow.

The National Weather Service issued several winter weather alerts.

Late season is not unusual in those higher elevations. Snow was also reported in Wyoming.
