Japan Preparing for Typhoon Lan

Typhoon Lan is expected to impact central Japan on Tuesday.

The storm currently has maximum sustained winds of 129 km/h with gusts to 157 km/h.

Ahead of the storm, airlines and railways cancelled services in central areas of Japan.

Lan is expected to impact large populated areas such as Osaka and Kyoto. Heavy rain and strong winds are expected. There is also a risk of landslides and flooding.
