Large earthquake prompts tsunami fears in Chile

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 has occurred in the Drake Passage. It occurred 704.4 km south-southeast of Tolhuin, Argentina.
Hazardous tsunami waves are possible as a result within 1000 km of the epicentre along the coasts of Chile.
The earthquake occurred at 4:29 p.m. local time at a depth of 10 km.
