Large earthquakes off New Zealand coast

There were two large earthquakes recorded in the southwestern Pacific Ocean today.
The first was a magnitude 6.2 earthquake that occurred at 1:60 a.m. local time Wednesday 286.3 km southwest of Bluff, New Zealand at a depth of 10 km.
The second was a 6.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred on Wednesday at 12:53 a.m. 1240.1 km southwest of Bluff, New Zealand at a depth of 4 km.
