Messy Friday for Newfoundland and Labrador


An area of low pressure currently over northern Ontario will push across Atlantic Canada on Friday.


Snow will push across Newfoundland and Labrador tomorrow and bring snow, rain, and strong winds to the region.


Precipitation will remain as snow across Labrador and most of Newfoundland.


Snow will change to rain for areas near Corner Brook and south and along the south coast.


Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible across Labrador and the Northern Peninsula. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm is possible across the remainder of Newfoundland.


10 to 15 mm of rain is possible for parts of the south coast.


Winds across the province will gust between 60 and 80 km/h. Winds will gust to 100 km/h in the Wreckhouse area.
