Minor Geomagnetic Storm Predicted

On Sunday there is the potential for some minor impacts due to a geomagnetic storm that is expected to hit earth due to a Coronal Hole High Speed Stream.

The U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a geomagnetic storm watch.

Impacts are expected to be minor but some weak power grid fluctuations can occur poleward of 60 degrees latitude and some minor impacts on satellite systems are possible.

Additionally, Aurora may be visible at high latitudes including much of Canada and the northern tier of the U.S. such as northern Michigan and Maine.
