Mud Volcano Erupts Poisoning Farmers

A mud volcano erupted in Indonesia poisoning four farmers and killing buffalo. Nineteen buffalo went missing.

Of those four people, three were taken to a local clinic, the fourth person was transported to a hospital.

The mud volcano spewed toxic gas.

The Kesongo mud volcano started rumbling last Thursday.

About 86 percent of gases released from mud volcanoes is methane, with much less carbon dioxide and nitrogen emitted.
