NHC watching the Caribbean Sea for possible development

The National Hurricane Center is watching the southwestern Caribbean Sea where a broad area of low pressure is expected to form in the coming days.

When this low forms, some gradual development is possible and a tropical depression could form late this week.

The system will drift northeastward across the western and central portions of the Caribbean Sea and has a 50 percent chance of forming in the next seven days.
