One Person in Florida Dead After Storms Roll Through

One person has died after a series of storms pushed through Florida on Thursday.

A tree fell on a man in Tallahassee. Another person was injured.

There were also several reports of tornadoes.

Officials also reported damage to buildings and there were multiple power outages. As of Friday morning some people were still without power.

This has been the second day in a row that severe storms have impacted the southeastern United States.

Strong storms are possible across parts of the Tennessee Valley and Cumberland Plateau through portions of the Carolina piedmont and Mid Atlantic coastal plain Saturday through Saturday night, accompanied by at least some risk for severe weather. Isolated strong storms posing some risk for severe weather are also possible across parts of the central and southern Florida.
