Ontario to see significant snow in some areas today

An area of low pressure is moving across Northern Ontario today and will bring snow and snow squalls to many locations across Ontario.

Areas east of Georgian Bay and the Bruce Peninsula will see snow today with amounts of 20 to 40 cm possible in some locations.

For areas east of Lake Huron an additional 15 cm of snow is likely

Across northeastern Ontario, snowfall amounts will range from 10 to 25 cm. In regions east and northeast of Lake Superior, 5 to 10 cm is expected. Amounts locally could reach 20 cm.

Amounts could be higher in snow squalls.

Snow is expected to linger through Monday for some areas.
