Out of control forest fire forces evacuations near Saint Andrews, NB


Fire crews are battling an out-of-control forest fire near Saint Andrews, New Brunswick.


Roughly 400 homes have been evacuated in Bocabec and Chamcook. The fire is 250.0 hectares and only started yesterday.


Highway 127 is shut down at Glebe Road heading north towards Highway 1.


A reception centre is open at the W.C. O’Neill Arena at 24 Reed Avenue, St. Andrews. The site provides food and accommodations as needed.


The entire province is under a no burn advisory.
